Practical guide
Build one practical PNG favicon package
The generator creates six real PNG sizes for browser tabs, legacy small icons, Apple touch icons and web-app manifests. It also includes suggested filenames, HTML links and a small manifest snippet.
Contain keeps the whole source visible; cover fills the square and can crop edges. Padding is measured as a percentage of each output size, so the proportions stay consistent across the package.
