PDF Tools

Merge, split, rotate, create and render PDFs entirely on your device. Everything runs locally, with no account and no upload.

Structure, rendering and document limits

A PDF is a document container rather than a single image. Some operations rearrange its existing pages and objects; others render pages into pixels. Knowing which kind of change you need helps preserve searchable text, links and original page quality.

Structural edits preserve page content

Merge combines documents, split extracts page ranges, and organize changes page order. Rotate changes a page's viewing orientation. These operations can copy or rearrange existing PDF pages without intentionally rasterizing them, so text and vector artwork can remain intact. Results still depend on the source PDF and on features supported by the browser library.

Rendering creates image output

PDF to PNG and PDF to JPG draw each selected page as pixels. That is useful for previews, sharing and image workflows, but the exported image does not contain searchable PDF text. A scanned PDF may already consist mainly of page images; UtilSprout does not perform OCR, so compression or conversion cannot invent a missing text layer.

Crop is not secure redaction

Cropping changes the visible page box and can hide margins without repainting the page. Hidden objects may remain in the document, so Crop PDF must not be used to remove confidential information. Secure redaction requires a workflow that removes the underlying content and verifies the saved result.

Compression and local resource limits

PDF compression results vary because a file may contain photographs, fonts, vectors, forms or content that is already compressed. Local processing avoids a file upload, but large documents still use this device's memory while pages are parsed, rendered or copied. The tools set explicit size and page limits and report unsupported or protected inputs rather than silently producing an incomplete document.
