Image Tools
Validate and sanitize an SVG, reject scripts, event handlers, foreignObject and external resources, then export a transparent or coloured PNG at custom dimensions from 1× to 4×.
Simple workflow
How to use SVG to PNG
- 1Choose an SVG of up to 2 MiB.
- 2Set dimensions, aspect-ratio lock, scale and background.
- 3Convert the sanitized artwork and download the PNG.

Frequently asked questions
Can SVG scripts run?
No. Scripts, event handlers, foreignObject, external images, imported styles and remote resources are rejected before preview or conversion.
Will every SVG render identically?
Self-contained SVG shapes, text and presentation attributes usually work. Style blocks, style attributes, external fonts, images and unsupported browser SVG features are intentionally unavailable.
Is the SVG uploaded?
No. Validation, sanitization and PNG rasterization happen locally.
Practical guide
Rasterize self-contained SVG safely
SVG is active document content, so this converter parses and sanitizes it before preview. Scripts, event handlers, foreignObject, style blocks and attributes, external URLs, entities and DTDs are rejected rather than executed or fetched.
The PNG dimensions equal the chosen width and height multiplied by the selected scale. Transparent output keeps alpha; a colour background is painted first when transparency is disabled.
Worked example
Create a 2× PNG
- Start with
- icon.svg has a 256 × 256 viewBox.
- Choose
- Keep 256 × 256, choose 2× and transparency.
- You get
- A sanitized 512 × 512 PNG is created locally.
Tips for a useful result
- Embed required artwork in the SVG.
- Use 2× for high-density displays.
- External fonts and images are intentionally unavailable.
